SAN HeadQuarters allows for real-time and historical analysis of your PS Series arrays. If you are replicating data, you configure SAN HeadQuarters to connect to the source site and the target site for most meaningful data.

You install the SAN HeadQuarters Client on any workstation or VM to view the data. To begin monitoring with SAN HeadQuarters, you install the SAN HeadQuarters Server in your lab on the same network as your groups. The Reports Wizard produces several types of reports: group analysis, configuration, capacity, thin provisioned volumes, replications, performance, hardware and firmware, alerts, and other custom reports. It also distinguishes inbound replica data from outbound replica data. For example, the Replication Report shows transfer sizes and replication times for volumes replicated. Each report provides unique information for the reported area. SAN HeadQuarters reporting feature provides a number of standard or customized reports you can output to PDF, HTML, and other formats. Whatever type of data you are looking at, SAN HeadQuarters provides a timeline showing status from the previous hour, 8 hours, one day, week, month, and so on, making it easy to see anomalies in your storage operation. Exhaustive storage analysis is timely and expensive, and many installations do not have a dedicated Storage Administrator. Monitoring and analysis using SAN HeadQuarters allows you to see changes relative to previous conditions. For environments using SQL databases or Microsoft Exchange volumes, you can monitor capacity usage of volumes and identify to increase or reallocate volumes as your needs grow. For example, after starting a virtual machine that uses guest attached volumes, you could use SAN HeadQuarters to see how the guest attached volumes are running by looking at average IOPS, latencies, and queue depth.
It provides performance data at the group level, by storage pools, volumes, or volume collections. Using Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) requests, SAN HeadQuarters collects performance data and alarm and health status from all your storage array groups, no matter where they are located.
